Sightseeing:
Highly recommended are excursions to Denia or Alicante. As an interesting means of transportation you may try the local narrow-gauge railway. The railway station is less then 4 km (3 miles) away.
Calpe, a coastal village, is less then seven km (five miles) away. It is a 'typical tourist trap' with a lively atmosphere, with shops, bars and restaurants. If you prefer something a little quieter and traditional, you may chose Moraira, a coastal village about the same distance from Casa La Solana. After touring the old central part of town by foot, the visitor may find small cozy coffee shops. Benissa, located inland, offers a change of pace from the busy coast.
If shopping is your thing, a trip to the Mall "Portal de la Marina" (90.000 square meters or 22 acres) in Ondara, to Altea, Denia, Benidorm and / or Alicante will satisfy your urges till you 'drop'. However if you prefer to explore the local culture, the mountainous hinterland should be your choice. There one can visit old castles and other sites of cultural and historical importance.

If you crave entertainment, you will find close by water- and theme-parks for the kids. And for the 'big kids' after dark, there are a multitude of choices, whether you'd like to go gambling, take in a nightclub show or dance the night away at a disco.
Sport:
Of course you can indulge in all the water sports such as: swimming, diving, windsurfing, water-skiing, sailing and fishing.

| In the vicinity there are also six yacht clubs. |
|
If you are more of a 'land-lubber', choices for you include: jogging, cycling, horseback riding, go-karting, and, less than half a mile away, several tennis courts. We also recommend walking and / or hiking in the mountainous hinterland.
Golf:
| Close by are seven golf clubs to choose from. Send us an e-mail for further details about those greens. We can tell you how to arrange for tee times and how to get cheaper green fees. Furthermore, we are able to assist you in regards to rental equipment, and even where to buy custom made equipment at very competitive prices. |

Nature:

Ochres, earth browns, azures, colours that define the Mediterranean spirit. Yellow, green, homages to an extense and intense nature. Natural and sophisticated. And the Sun, the eternal Sun, the eternal king that presides over the mythology of every square inch of ground, that warms up the water of a blue dream, as old as the world. The sea understood as a methaphor of all the seas. Always the same, always different.
